Feeling Healthy

What good is a governor if they are not doing everything in their power to help its residents live longer, healthier lives? To me, nothing is more important than making sure each Oregonian is as healthy as they can be.

Together

As governor I plan on issuing an executive order making the declaration for the formation of a new state office, Live Longer Oregon.
This robust and in-depth department will be available to all Oregonians who are interested. Never a mandate. Only healthy helpful suggestions.
I will be alongside top medical specialists and experts as we walk Oregonians through simple and easy steps to help lead a healthy and long life, both physically and mentally. We can do this together.

The goal is simple: Add more healthy years to your life.

Did you know that Oregon ranks 15th for overall life expectancy?
To me that is unacceptable. The financial drain on both the patient, their family and the state is astronomical.
It is a very achievable goal for Oregon to be in the top 5 of states with the longest and healthiest lifespan. With that comes a more prosperous Oregon.

40-Somethings

Why am I so passionate about health? I’ve had too many friends die young or middle-aged from preventable illnesses.

I recently visited my 42-year old best friend while getting treatment at an Oregon chemotherapy lab. I was shocked to walk in and see an entire room filled with people in their 30’s and 40’s all hooked up to these chemo machines for cancer treatment. Many had a look of crushing sadness in their eyes. My best friend did not live another year. I often think about these same rooms all across the US and the overwhelming heartache families must be going through.

As your governor, I will oversee the development of this Live Longer Oregon state office. Under my watch, it will be my goal to have more Oregonians living longer and healthier lives.

Aerial Rapid Response Team

Upon taking office my administration will make the case to fund a new task force, Aerial Rapid Response Team (ARRT).

We need to construct more fire-towers strategically located at vulnerable points in Oregon’s forests as recommended by fire captains and the Forest Management Committee. We will invest in new environmentally friendly fire-suppressing technology and new types of firefighting aircraft and larger water-dropping planes which will save the state millions in the long run.

Satellite Detection

Satellite radar technology exists that can detect the start of a fire within minutes. I will make sure that our fire and rescue teams are tapped into this technology. Once notified of a new fire, ARRT will already be ready to act.

I will put forth recommendation of continual patrolling of our skies during the short fire season with water-dropping aircraft. This will allow us to quickly congregate around fires to dampen them while still in their infancy. While we cannot prevent all fires from getting out of control, we can dramatically decrease the number of fires that will have that opportunity.

None of us will ever forget the feeling of being trapped in our homes during the fires and smoke of 2020. Many had their lives irrevocably changed by the fires. Where ever possible, I want to stop that kind of tragedy from taking place.

3-State Solution

Forest fires do not stop at state borders. Washington and California must work together with Oregon to help prevent these raging fires that spread from state to state. I want to establish a wildfire task force to create a 3-State Solution like no other. We can share technology, robotics and infrared flame detection cameras.

Forest Management 

Continual Forest Management is a must. Being proactive is an important step in forest fire prevention. Removing dead brush, backburning, and thinning trees will be necessary. Good forest management practices alone will not be enough…especially with climate change drying out our lush forests. 

Protecting old-growth forests is in my heart and we need to think outside the box to protect them. Each year we tragically lose just a little bit more of our ancient, mystifying old-growth forests.

What Are The Alternatives?

The cost of wildfires in just 2020 alone was over $350-million.
Over 4000 homes were destroyed and millions of beautiful wild animals were killed.
For fiscal conservatives who are against investing more into a fire-fighting bill, what is your alternative? Doing nothing is not an option. Don’t oppose this without giving detailed concrete resolutions and solutions on what the inevitable will bring. Because if you think 2020 was bad, the climate is only getting worse and so will future destruction.

Upon taking office my first goal will be to pressure the US Congress to fund a new West Coast 2022 fire-fighting bill. But we must be ready if partisan politics prevents anything from getting done in Washington. How can we pay for this?

We have to go big. It’s time for ARRT.

The Big 5

Special Interest Groups, Super-PACS and Corporate Lobbyists spend hundreds of millions every election purchasing politicians to serve their needs over the needs of the people… and they have been extremely successful thus far.

It’s No Longer A Secret

When Industries or Corporations are spending millions towards political parties and politicians they are expecting something in return. Secret favors. They spend for ONE reason only. To influence a politicians decision making. The conflict of interest is astronomical.

As your Governor I want to focus for a moment on 5 specific industries that are directly linked to death or destruction. The Big 5.

WHO ARE THE BIG 5?

1. The Gas/Coal/Fracking and Oil Industries

2. The NRA and Gun Industries

3. The Military Industry and Weapons of War Manufacturers

4. The Pharmaceutical and Health Insurance Industries

5. The Big Banks and Finance Services Industry

Creating Transparency

These BIG-5 have done much to break the trust of our citizens and the foundation of our democracy nationwide.

I want Oregon to be a leader in election transparency.  There should be clear, documented, factual answers to these extremely important questions:

  • Which politicians are the BIG-5 donating to?
  • Are there any former politicians working as lobbyist for the BIG-5? Who?
  • How much do both political parties receive in contributions from each of the BIG-5?
  • Are there any politicians that are receiving campaign money from ALL five of the BIG-5?
  • Of the politicians that have received donations from the BIG-5, how did they vote when it came to a policy or law that directed affected the BIG-5?
  • What is the total marketing dollars any of the BIG-5 has spent in print, TV, radio or social media advertising that directly benefits any specific politician?

Contribution from the the BIG-5

As your Governor, I will spearhead a program stating that any elected official who has taken campaign contributions from any of the BIG-5 must be recused from voting on or creating any bills or laws that involves any of the BIG-5. Voting against your constituents because of financial benefits is a hallmark of corruption.

EVERYONE should be in favor of this…unless of course you are one of those slimy politician benefiting nicely because of money in politics from the BIG-5.

Ready to Become Rich?

As governor, I aim to specifically take on the illegal drug manufacturers head on, mainly the manufacturers of meth, opioids and heroin.
Only with the help of our residents can we tackle this epidemic to make a real and direct impact.
Once these manufacturer are convicted, the anonymous tipster will be compensated very nicely (rewards will depend on the size of the manufacturer and can range up to $1-million).

Proactive vs. Procrastination

The cost of implementing this program will pale in comparison to the cost of dealing with our current drug epidemic.

Oregon is spending billions of dollars on medical treatment, housing, rehab, policing, mental health treatment, lost earnings, car accidents and a long list of other issues related to these killer, illegal drugs.

Oregon’s Congress

We must pressure our state representatives to enact this program because the alternative is far too costly. Even closing down just one large-scale drug manufacturer would be enormously worth it. We can’t let upfront costs be a deterrent to safe guarding our children’s health and wellbeing.

Focusing on the Manufactureres

Meth, opioids and heroin are killing Oregonians at alarming rates.  We’ve been focusing on the wrong people in this epidemic. Drug addiction is a disease and drug addicts should be healed, not be punished. Small-time drug dealers often start selling drugs because they need money to eat and pay rent. Our state needs to provide enough good paying jobs so that small time sellers don’t need to get started with selling drugs. I’m most interested in pursuing the drug manufacturers. Illegal drug manufacturers are the root cause of our drug epidemic. They are the ones who will get the harshest of prison sentences. Take them out and we will save our state billions of dollars.

I am very aware that drugs flow into our state from other states as well as from out of the country. We must take small steps in order to deal with the problem as a whole. State by state.

Hey You!

Are you currently working alongside a drug manufacturer making methamphetamines, opioids or heroin? This is your time to get super-rich. You will be protected. Your family will be safe. The incentive to turn in illegal drug makers has never been better.

To the Naysayers

Since it is proven that being proactive can save our state billions, while simultanously helping those who are vulnerable to live healthier lives and are less likely to be homeless, depressed, suicidal, commit crimes or go into prison, we must question why anyone would oppose this program. What is your alternative to combating our drug epidemic? Please be specific…because the current system is clearly not working and no action at all is just not acceptable.

Sports! Sports changed my life for the better. As governor, I want to bring our state together through extreme fun and excitement. To this end, my administration will create an online viewing channel featuring Oregonian athletes and/or Oregon-based extreme sports.

Oregonians. Love. Sports.

Baseball, football, basketball, soccer…our state’s love of these sports and our local teams are well-established. The Ducks and Beavers and Blazers and Timbers and Thorns aren’t going anywhere and we will continue to show these athletes support and community love!

Extreme Sports TV

Let’s also showcase AND celebrate our extreme sports! Uniting Oregonians with a little friendly competition through extreme sports is just good, clean, healthy fun.

Extreme Sports Showdown will be a network dedicated to non-stop extreme entertainment. Yes, you read that right. My administration will be creating  Extreme-Sports-Showdown TV (ESS-TV) for all Oregonians…and the world to enjoy.
The goal is simple: To unite Oregon as one through the love of sports.

Here are some extreme sports that will be featured:

My administration will promote extreme sports and its stars throughout the state to encourage all Oregonians to support these events and its athletes. It’s time for our extreme athletes to get the recognition deserved. It’s time to make our local stars shine bright.
